B. Family Tree (YA-Family)

If you choose to "Grow a Leaf" on our community banyan tree, we collect:

• The name you choose to display (alias allowed)
• Your email address (used only for identity verification and leaf management)
• Your reflection or personal comment
• A unique Device ID (automatically generated to help you find your leaf later)
• Technical Browser Information (User Agent) — used for layout rendering and cross-device leaf support
• A non-personal System Fingerprint — a technical hash derived from your device's hardware characteristics to prevent duplicate registrations

3. Why we collect your data

We collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:

• To receive, review, and reply to your enquiry or message
• To verify your email address via a one-time verification code (OTP) before accepting a contact submission
• To prevent spam and abuse through device-level rate limiting (maximum 2 messages per hour per device)
• To maintain a trusted identity token on your device for up to 20 days, so you are not required to re-verify your email on subsequent visits from the same device

We do not use the information submitted through the contact form for marketing purposes unless we clearly ask for your separate consent.

This website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact and registration forms from automated spam bots. Turnstile is a privacy-first, invisible CAPTCHA solution that verifies the user is human without requiring them to solve interactive puzzles.

By using our forms, you acknowledge that certain technical data (such as browser information and IP address) may be processed by Cloudflare to provide this security service, in accordance with their privacy standards.
